Management Team
Our management team is comprised of leaders in the fields of healthcare technology, medical services and marketing. Their collective experience and highly specialized knowledge of the test resulting, ordering and billing needs of healthcare professionals contributes to the functionality and accessibility of 4medica’s online lab outreach applications, and allows us to meet the full range of our customers’ needs.
Ravi Sharma, President and CEO
Prior to joining 4medica in 2002, Mr. Sharma was the General Manager of the Diagnostix division of Sunquest Information Systems, the world’s leading supplier of laboratory information systems, where he led the development of its lab outreach functionality Diagnostix (re-named after the acquisition by Misys) from concept to reality.
Mr. Sharma was the President and CEO of MedAssure, a division of DataCard, that developed and marketed portable electronic patient records on Smart Cards. Mr. Sharma has worked in the Diagnostic Imaging Industry for over 20 years with GE Medical Systems and Toshiba. Leading the company’s Global Six Sigma program at GE, Mr. Sharma also served as the General Manager of the Northeast Zone in an earlier role. At Toshiba America Medical Systems, he worked as the Vice President of Marketing. Mr. Sharma holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
Oleg Bess M.D., Chairman and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Bess has developed computerized medical solutions for over ten years and is an early adopter of Internet technology in medical practice. He is a frequent consultant to physician groups on the subject of medical practice workflow and efficiency. Dr. Bess is a practicing OB/GYN physician specializing in advanced Laparoscopic (Laser) Surgery.
Mark DiSiena, Esq., CPA, MBA, Chief Financial Officer
Mark DiSiena is a seasoned executive with over twenty years of experience in strategy, finance and operations. Mr. DiSiena began his career at PriceWaterhouse Coopers and has held senior positions at Lucent Technologies and Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey. He has co-founded and helped launch several successful start-ups, and prior to joining 4medica he consulted to corporations such as Countrywide Bank, Dreamworks SKG, Paramount Pictures, PeopleSupport and Yahoo!
Mr. DiSiena holds a BS from New York University, JD from Vanderbilt University and MBA from Stanford University. He is a licensed CPA and Attorney
Alexander Kasman, Technical Director
Mr. Kasman has over 15 years of experience in systems planning, applications and development across financial, healthcare and telecommunications industries. Mr. Kasman received a MS in Computer Science from CSUN, and a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from UCLA.
